Towards the end of 2015 the Pambula Daylight Lodge decided to upgrade its kitchen to semi commercial standard. A grant to enable the work to be done was approved by Grand Lodge and work commenced on 31 January 2016 after some 3 months of planning and consultation with users and potential users. During removal of the old flooring it was discovered that some dry rot was present and this dictated removal and replacement of the whole floor. Remarkably, this work was basically done by two helpers in the space of a day. The new equipment arrived on 12th February and is yet to be finally installed. The following is a pictorial diary of the renovation process showing the kitchen before, during and after the renovation:-
