After some 45 years as a Master Mason, Brother George Edward Penfound eventually became Worshipful Brother George Edward Penfound on the night of 2nd May 2015. He was expertly installed in the chair of King Solomon with dignity and feeling by the outgoing Master, W Bro Berri Libauer in the presence of RW Bro Kim Taylor, PJGW, representing the MW Grand Master. Kim was accompanied by a strong delegation of 16 Grand Officers which included the DGIW, VW Bro Neil Dawson, 2 Past Deputy Grand Masters and 3 Past Assistant Grand Masters. A Past Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Essex, England was also in attendance. Some 65 Brethren filled the Lodgeroom to capacity but the highlight of the evening was the presence of 4 Entered Apprentices and 3 Fellowcrafts.

Fraternal visits were made by Lodge Caledonia and Lodge Ethos both of Canberra as well as brethren from the local district 49. It was definitely a night to remember with nearly 90 brethren and ladies present at the Festive Board held at the Cooma Bowling Club
